FTB University 1.12 is a Minecraft 1.12.2 modpack built as the next step after FTB Academy. Instead of teaching absolute beginners, it focuses on the deeper mechanics of popular mods with over 1,200 quests across 28 chapters and more than 70,000 words of in‑game guidance.
Major mods like Applied Energistics 2, Mekanism v9, Immersive Engineering, Botania, Blood Magic, Thaumcraft 6 and more each get their own quest chapter, organized into Automation, Technology, and Magic. FTB University 1.12 keeps mostly normal progression, adds gated recipes such as Gendustry and Avaritia creative items, and deliberately omits Thermal and Tinkers’ Construct to push players toward alternative tools and machines ⚙️
