All the Mods 10 (ATM10) Guide: Server, RAM, ATM Star and ATM10 vs ATM9

All the Mods 10 is the biggest kitchen-sink modpack of the moment – around 500 mods, thousands of quests and a real endgame built around the ATM Star. We went through the pack's own files (version 8.3) to answer what people actually ask: how much RAM ATM10 needs, how progression works, what the ATM Star takes, how it differs from ATM9 and ATM8, and how to run an ATM10 server for your friends.

What is All the Mods 10 (ATM10)?

All the Mods 10 is a "kitchen-sink" modpack for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge: about 500 tech, magic, exploration and storage mods tied together by a long questline that ends with crafting the ATM Star. It's made by the ATMTeam, has passed 22 million downloads on CurseForge, and the authors themselves call it "the top pack of 2026".

You don't play ATM10 along a fixed path – you pick the mods you enjoy (Create, Mekanism, Applied Energistics 2, Ars Nouveau, Mystical Agriculture…) and the quest book shows you how to get the most out of each. The endgame then forces you to touch almost all of them.

Spec Value
Minecraft version 1.21.1 (Java Edition)
Mod loader NeoForge (21.1.259 in version 8.3)
Mods 499 in the manifest of version 8.3 (October 2026)

Author ATMTeam
Recommended server RAM 10 GB
Server files (unpacked) ~1.4 GB before the world is generated

ATM10 is one of the five most-launched modpacks on Spot.gg – players have started it on more than 1,200 servers. We test-boot a server on new pack versions before offering them.

What mods are in All the Mods 10?

Almost every big mod available on 1.21.1, grouped by the quest book into tech, magic, storage, farming and exploration. The most important ones, with links to their pages:

  • tech: Mekanism (with reactors), Create and its addons, Modern Industrialization (steam → electric → digital age), Immersive Engineering, Industrial Foregoing, Powah, Oritech, Extreme Reactors, Draconic Evolution,
  • storage: Applied Energistics 2 with MEGA Cells and ExtendedAE, Refined Storage, Sophisticated Storage and Backpacks, Functional Storage,
  • magic: Ars Nouveau, Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, Occultism, Forbidden & Arcanus, Theurgy, Nature's Aura, Mahou Tsukai,
  • resources and automation: Mystical Agriculture with Agradditions, Productive Bees, Productive Trees, Hostile Neural Networks,
  • exploration and bosses: The Twilight Forest, The Aether, The Undergarden, Eternal Starlight, Deeper and Darker, L_Ender's Cataclysm, Ice and Fire, Ad Astra (space), Apotheosis with its gear and enchanting overhaul,
  • ATM's own mods: Allthemodium (three new ores, tools and dimensions), All The Ores, All The Compressed and All The Tweaks (the ATM Star parts).

Performance mods are already in – ModernFix, FerriteCore, AllTheLeaks and Sodium with Iris on the client. The shaders included (Complementary, BSL, MakeUp) are client-side only; the server doesn't need them.

How does progression work in ATM10?

The quest book (FTB Quests) has almost 70 chapters and about 3,000 quests; the main line has four chapters: The Beginning → Allthemodium → The ATM Star → Creative. Every mod chapter is optional, but the ATM Star recipe needs items from most of them.

Stage What you do Key goals
Chapter 1: The Beginning basic tools, furnaces, generators, the Nether, the End kill the Wither and the Warden, reach the End
Chapter 2: Allthemodium mine and upgrade the three ATM metals Allthemodium → Vibranium → Unobtainium tools and armour
Chapter 3: The ATM Star build the parts of the star across many mods Patrick Star, Dragon Soul, Pulsating Black Hole, Dimensional Seed…
Chapter 4: Creative build the Runic Star Altar, craft (and automate) the star creative energy cells, creative spell book and more

Allthemodium in short (from the quest descriptions in the pack):

  • Allthemodium – mined with a Netherite-tier pickaxe; glowing ore in the walls of caves around Ancient Cities and in Deep Dark biomes. The Allthemodium smithing template is found by brushing suspicious clay in Ancient Cities.
  • Vibranium – needs an Allthemodium pickaxe; rare in the Nether, common in The Other.
  • Unobtainium – needs a Vibranium pickaxe; very rare, in End Highlands biomes (where End Cities spawn).
  • Teleport Pad (4 Allthemodium nuggets + an ender pearl) – placed in the Overworld it leads to the Mining Dimension (a flat world full of ores with no caves or mobs), in the Nether to The Other, in the End to The Beyond. Shift + right-click with both hands empty.

Unobtainium armour gives 40 armour points, 60 toughness, 100% knockback resistance and 90% magic damage resistance – that's your endgame kit before the star.

How do you make the ATM Star in ATM10?

In ATM10 the ATM Star is crafted on the Runic Star Altar, a multiblock from the pack's own scripts, out of a dozen unique parts that each come from a different mod. The recipe in version 8.3 needs:

  • 28 Unobtainium-Allthemodium alloy blocks and 15 triple-compressed Nether Star blocks,
  • 2 "Awakened" Unobtainium-Vibranium alloy blocks (made on the same altar with Mystical Agriculture's Awakened Supremium),
  • the All The Tweaks parts: Oblivion Shard, Nexium Emitter, Wither's Compass, Improbable Probability Device, Dragon Soul, Philosopher's Fuel, Pulsating Black Hole and Dimensional Seed,
  • Creative Essence (Mystical Agradditions) and a Patrick Star – yes, crafted from magenta, pink and green concrete.

There is also an alternative route that assembles the star from five shards on the same altar. With the star you unlock creative items: a creative AE2 energy cell, creative Ars Nouveau spell book and more. Plan on dozens to hundreds of hours – the star is designed to need a fully automated base.

How much RAM does ATM10 need?

Give an ATM10 server 10 GB of RAM; on your PC allocate at least 8 GB in the launcher. The pack's manifest recommends 8 GB for the client, and the official server files start with -Xmx8G – with several players, big automation and chunk loaders, 10–12 GB is the safe choice.

Where Minimum Recommended
PC (allocated in CurseForge App) 8 GB 10 GB (system with 16 GB+)
Server, 1–3 players 8 GB 10 GB
Server, 4–8 players, heavy automation 10 GB 12–14 GB

On Spot.gg a 10 GB server costs $10.68 / month and 12 GB costs $11.98 / month, and you can change RAM in the panel at any time. If your PC struggles, try All the Mods 10 Lite – about 200 mods, made by the same team "to work on most computers".

ATM10 vs ATM9 vs ATM8: what's the difference?

ATM10 is the newest of the three: Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge with ~500 mods, while ATM9 runs 1.20.1 on Forge with ~435 mods and ATM8 runs 1.19.2. The core is the same – Allthemodium, the ATM Star, Mekanism, AE2 – but the mod lists differ more than you'd think.

ATM10 ATM9 ATM8
Minecraft 1.21.1 1.20.1 1.19.2
Loader NeoForge Forge Forge
Java 21 17 17
Mods ~500 (8.3) ~435 (1.1.1) 350+
Downloads (CurseForge) 22.6 M 13.7 M 9.3 M
Still updated yes (8.x, Oct 2026) last 1.1.1, Oct 2025 last 1.1.0, Dec 2023
Spot.gg servers 1,280 200+ 130+

What changed from ATM9 to ATM10, based on the two manifests:

  • In ATM10 but not ATM9: Modern Industrialization (its own tech line from steam to the digital age), Oritech, XyCraft, Actually Additions, Astral Sorcery, Relics, Eternal Starlight, The Bumblezone and many new world-gen and structure mods.
  • In ATM9 but not ATM10: GregTech CEu Modern (ATM9's optional "Gregstar" chapter), Botania, Blood Magic, Tinkers' Construct, the Thermal series, Quark and Biomes O' Plenty.
  • ATM Star: in ATM9 it's a 9×9 recipe on Create's Mechanical Crafters (plus the separate GregTech Gregstar); ATM10 moved it to the Runic Star Altar, with an alternative shard recipe. The core parts – Dragon Soul, Patrick Star, Pulsating Black Hole and the rest – are the same.

Which one should you play? ATM10 if you want the latest Minecraft and a pack that still gets updates. ATM9 if you want GregTech or Botania, or a world you already started. ATM8 only for an existing 1.19.2 world. ATM11 (Minecraft 26.1.2) is in early beta – fine to look at, not for a long-term server yet.

What is ATM10 To the Sky (ATM10SKY)?

All the Mods 10: To the Sky is the skyblock version of ATM10: you start on a single tree in the void and build everything from scratch. It's also on 1.21.1 NeoForge, with about 320 mods (version 2.2.0) and 3.6 million downloads. Instead of mining, you get resources through Ex Deorum (sieves and crucibles) and Skyblock Builder handles islands for teams. The quest line is shorter: Starting Out → The Cool Parts → Allthemodium → ATM Star → Creative Items.

Variant Minecraft Mods Best for
All the Mods 10 1.21.1 NeoForge ~500 the full experience
ATM10 To the Sky 1.21.1 NeoForge ~320 skyblock fans
ATM10 Lite 1.21.1 NeoForge ~200 weaker PCs
ATM9 To the Sky 1.20.1 Forge ~320 skyblock on 1.20.1

Skyblock on a server is great with friends, because every player can run their own island and trade. For more classic skyblock, see our SkyFactory 4 guide.

How do you make an ATM10 server?

The easiest way is a hosted server with ATM10 preinstalled: pick the pack, set the RAM and share the address – your friends install the same version in the CurseForge App. Open to LAN only works while the host is playing; a dedicated server keeps the world (and your machines) running for everyone.

  1. Create a Spot.gg account and click "Activate a free server".
  2. Pick Minecraft and All the Mods 10 – search the catalog or start straight from the ATM10 modpack page. The server installs itself with NeoForge and Java 21, no file uploads.
  3. Set the RAM – modpack servers start at 6 GB (from $7.55 / month after the free trial); for ATM10 choose 10 GB.
  4. In the panel, click "How to connect?" – you get the pack name, exact version and the server address to copy.
  5. Everyone installs the same ATM10 version in the CurseForge App and joins via "Multiplayer" → "Add Server".

The first 24 hours are free, no card required. Server tips: claim and force-load your base chunks with FTB Chunks (the map in the corner), use /spark tps (the spark profiler is in the pack) when the server lags, and don't leave hundreds of AE2 or Mekanism machines running in unloaded areas.

What are the most common ATM10 server problems?

The most common problem is a version mismatch – the player's ATM10 version must be exactly the same as the server's. The rest is mostly memory and heavy machines.

Symptom Cause Fix
"Mod rejections" or a missing-mods list on join different pack version install the exact version from "How to connect?"
Server stops during start, "OutOfMemoryError" too little RAM raise server RAM to 10–12 GB
TPS drops after a few days big farms, chunk loaders, item entities /spark tps and /spark profiler, slow down or remove the culprit
Client crashes on startup too little RAM in the launcher allocate 8–10 GB in CurseForge
Can't break Allthemodium ore pickaxe tier too low Netherite-tier pickaxe or better

Not sure what's wrong? Check the "Errors" tab in the server panel or click "Ask the assistant" – the AI assistant reads the logs and tells you what to fix. For more on modded servers, see how to make a modded Minecraft server, and for other packs, our list of the best Minecraft modpacks.
